Visit from Hon. Nape Nnauye, Minister for Information, Communication, and Information Technology (MICIT)

The Honourable Nape Nnauye, Minister for Information, Communication, and Information Technology (MICIT), visited the Tanzania Startup Association (TSA) on 14th August 2023. The visit aimed to promote collaboration and gain insights into TSA operations, aligning with the Ministry's commitments to develop the startup ecosystem.

During the visit, Hon. Nnauye stated "I'm here to assure the Government commitment to come up with a policy that will address the entire problems facing the startups. The government will prepare a draft Tanzania Startup Policy by the end of this year. Then, the Act to come up with the guidelines." He added that cooperation with the Tanzania Startup Association is vital, ensuring everything is in safe hands.

The Minister's visit to TSA underscores the government's dedication to nurturing a thriving startup ecosystem. The collaboration between MICIT and TSA demonstrates a concerted effort to provide an environment that fosters growth and support. As the startup policy process unfolds, stakeholders are urged to remain engaged and calm, as their input will be integral to the policy formulation process.
